A Manitowoc man was taken into police custody on a drug charge two and a half months after he was arrested for allegedly strangling his girlfriend. Police were called to the home of Joshua Klein by his girlfriend after she captured him smoking methamphetamine on camera. When police arrived, they watched the video which clearly showed Klein smoking meth, and his girlfriend confronting him about it. Officers then informed Klein that since he is out on bail, he would be arrested for bail jumping. Klein then became agitated and tensed up while being placed into handcuffs. While being transported to the squad car, he continued to yell at his girlfriend and call her what the police report described as “vulgarities”. One officer brought Klein to the Manitowoc County Jail, while another found the smoking device used in the video in Klein’s home. Klein is facing charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Felony Bail Jumping, and two counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
