A former correctional officer at the Milwaukee County Jail will serve 30 days after pleading guilty to one count of obstructing an officer. James Ramsey-Guy told the court he doesn’t dispute the contention of prosecutors that he lied during an inquest. Ramsey-Guy was one of the correctional officers involved in the death of inmate Terrill Thomas in 2016. Ramsey-Guy turned off the water to Thomas’ cell as punishment after the inmate flooded the cell. Thomas was found dead after 10 days without water.
