The wife of a pediatrician who was hit and killed while riding his bicycle last June is taking steps to make it safer for other bike riders. Shirley Yagoda wanted the shoulder along Golf Road in Waukesha County paved, but county officials said they didn’t have the money in the budget. So, Yagoda started a foundation in her husband’s name and raised 80-thousand dollars. Waukesha County will soon take bids to turn the gravel shoulder where Doctor Brian Yagoda was killed into five-feet-wide paved shoulders.
