Former Bishop’s Name Removed From Green Bay Cathedral

The name of Bishop Aloysius Wycislo is being removed from the name of a center at Green Bay’s St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.  Although Bishop Wycislo hasn’t been accused of any sexual misconduct, the Green Bay diocese says he did fail to adequately address allegations of clergy abuse while he was the bishop.  He served in that capacity from 1968 to 1983.  The facility will be called the Cathedral Center.
