Manitowoc Lincoln Gymnastics Team Second in Sectionals

The Manitowoc Lincoln Ships Girls Gymnastics Team Placed second in yesterday’s Division One Sectional at Hartford Union High School. The Ships scored 138-point-2 to finish behind team champion Hartford Union. The Orioles totaled 143.7 points. After the Ships—Homestead finished third followed by Grafton/Cedarburg—West Bend West—Sheboygan North/South—Kaukauna and the Oshkosh Co-op. Ships Senior Brynn Tackett captured the All-Around title with a score of 37-point-450. Tackett won the sectional title on Floor—was second on Balance Beam and Vault and placed Third on the Uneven Bars.  Her Teammate, Senior Breanna Reinhart was ninth in the All-Around competition with her highest finish being eighth on the Uneven Bars.  In Division Two Valders/Roncalli placed fourth out of seven teams at the Whitefish Bay Sectional scoring 124.875. Sophomore Jaime Jirikowic placed seventh in the All-Around with her highest finish being sixth on the vault while sophomore Kate Thomsen was fifth on the Balance Beam and tied for fifth on the Uneven Bars.
