It is never easy to admit someone into a nursing home, or hospice care. Seeing someone you love unable to care for themselves is heartbreaking, but if they are placed in the proper hands, they can still live a happy life. One such place is Homecare Health Services and Hospice of Manitowoc. We were able to speak with the owner Lynn Seidl-Babcock, who told us about their start in the ’70s.
While people here the term hospice a lot, many may not know what exactly it is. Lynn explained it, and also about the Medicare Hospice Benefit.
Lynn told us that she feels people tend to wait too long to join the program, even though there are many benefits to it.
Lynn explained that there is a slew of people whose only goal is to make sure the patient is well taken care of.
The nice thing about hospice care is the variety of ways you can receive it.
