Police say a man who is to be sentenced Friday on an explosives charge may have been planning an attack on U-W-Madison. Brian Campbell has pleaded no contest. The Dane County District Attorney’s Office says Campbell had searched the internet for instructions on how to make a bomb and he possessed several maps of underground tunnels on the campus. Assistant D-A John Rice says it looks like he was getting ready to commit domestic terrorism. Campbell’s attorney says Rice is trying to convince the judge to give the defendant more time than agreed-to in the plea deal.
