Man Accused Of Violent Assault Makes 1st Court Appearance

A 22-year-old Madison man is being called a repeat offender after making a Wednesday appearance in Dane County Circuit Court.  Jeremy Winslow is accused of the violent attack on a 19-year-old woman in downtown Madison earlier this month.  He faces five felony charges.  Investigators say Winslow was already on probation for a series of felony convictions over the past four years.  He has apparently served no jail time for any of his crimes.
