Madison Man Repeatedly Punched, Choked During Random Attack

A 38-year-old suspect is accused of attacking a man on a Madison street corner shortly after 6:00 PM Monday.  The victim says he had just given his attacker a cigarette when he was punched in the face several times.  He says Mark R. Green got on top of him and started choking him while yelling, “You going to die.  You look like you got money.”  An onlooker pulled the attacker off and police took him into custody when they arrived on the scene.  The victim was shaken but didn’t require medical attention.
