Governor Won’t Include Plan On School Vouchers In First Budget

He campaigned on a wish to phase school vouchers out, but Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers isn’t including that in his first state budget.  Evers says he will work toward more accountability and transparency in the state program.  Although Evers mentioned vouchers during the campaign, he did not specifically promise to get rid of them.  That would be difficult to accomplish with a Republican-dominated legislature in place.
