More Shopko employees will be looking for work in around six weeks, after the retail company announced that they will be laying off 140 more employees from their headquarters in Ashwaubenon in April. This latest move comes less than a week after they announced the closure of 40 more stores throughout Wisconsin. Shopko filed for bankruptcy last month, starting the chain of closures and layoffs. More than two thirds of their stores will be shut down by the time everything is all said and done, as they attempt to attract an investor of buyer. It is not known which positions will be eliminated at the headquarters.
