Racine’s mayor says his city will pay its employees a minimum of 15-dollars-an-hour by the end of his first full term in office in 2023. Mayor Cory Mason’s proposal has been recommended for approval by the full Common Council in Racine. The minimum wage will jump to 10-dollars, 10-cents-an-hour in an intermediate step. Mason says the move will make Racine a more attractive place to work and it will help the city to recruit and retain employees.
