Some groups are speaking out against Governor Tony Evers’ proposal to decriminalize marijuana for recreational use. Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce says his plan puts Wisconsin at odds with federal and business leaders are concerned about the impacts marijuana will have on workplace safety. W-M-C claims employees who test positive for cannabis had more industrial accidents, injury, and absenteeism. A survey of W-M-C members found 66 percent oppose the legalization of recreational pot. Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos said today that he’s open to medical marijuana prescribed by a doctor, but Evers’ proposal goes too far.
