The Manitowoc County Historical Society, 924 Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc, has announced the season’s dates for their preschool program. Formally called Storybook Village, the Society’s preschool program has been re-branded as “Museum Mice” and is modeled after the Smithsonian Institute’s Early Enrichment Center.
The 2019 Museum Mice series will begin on Wednesday, March 13 and be held on the second Wednesday of the month, from March to November, from 10:30 to 11:30 am. The Museum Mice preschool series tours will be offered to toddlers and young children and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers.
During the Museum Mice Tours, preschool children and their families will be immersed in historic stories and themes where you will explore history through shapes, sounds, games, and hands-on activities. Each week, a story is read, followed by an activity and a visit to a space at the museum that corresponds with the chosen book.
Visitors are encouraged to register to attend the programs. Registration is due on Monday before the tour date. To register for the Museum Mice program contact the Society’s program coordinator at programs@ManitowocCountyHistory.org or call the museum at (920) 684-4445.
Museum Mice tours are included in the day’s admission to the museum. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children (4-17), and free for children under the age of 4. MCHS members receive free admission.
