The roadways are now clear of the snow that made travel difficult on Tuesday, but that same snow is still causing trouble for many motorists. The large piles of snow that have accumulated are making visibility an issue as people attempt to negotiate corners. A large portion of the snow was transported to a dump site, but not all of it can be treated in the same way, causing the piles. The best way to avoid an accident when visibility around the corner is limited is to inch your way out until you can properly see the oncoming traffic, then merge when it is safe to do so. Commuters are advised to continue to give themselves a few extra minutes to get to their destination.
