It’s no secret that the roads have been very slippery over the past week or so, and these conditions have contributed to 160 accidents being reported yesterday in Brown County. A video of one of them has been making the rounds on Facebook, and it shows an Ashwaubenon police cruiser getting struck by a semi. The incident occurred at the intersection of Eastbound Cormier Road and Ashland Ave, and saw a southbound semi fail to stop at a red light, smashing into the squad car. The officer was trapped inside the vehicle for a short time, but walked away from the crash uninjured. The semi driver was cited for driving too fast for conditions, and Ashland Avenue was closed for around 2.5 hours for cleanup.
