The courtroom was packed as Timothy Hauschultz, his son Damien Hauschultz and Tina McKeever-Hauschultz were on hand for their initial hearing in Manitowoc County Circuit Court. The trio is facing charges in relation to the death of 7-year-old Ethan Hauschultz, who died last spring. The criminal complaint claims that Ethan had been performing a punishment ordered by Timothy Hauschultz requiring him to carry a heavy wooden log weighing about two-thirds of his body weight. Investigators say that Damien, physically abused the child repeatedly—shoving him to the ground and rolling the log across his chest. In addition, the juvenile male stood on Ethan’s body and head while he was face down in a puddle eventually burying Ethan in the snow. The boy was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries. Judge Jerilyn Dietz postponed Damien’s hearing until next Monday at 1:30 PM as his attorney was not able to be on hand. Timothy will have his preliminary hearing on February 18th at 3:30 PM and Tina has hers scheduled for February 20th at 2:30 PM. Photos of the hearing can be seen below.
