The Milwaukee police officer killed in the line of duty February 6th will be remembered for two days this week. A public visitation for Officer Matthew Rittner is scheduled for Wednesday at the Oak Creek Assembly of God Church (9 A-M to 1 P-M). Following the service, there will be a police vehicle procession to the funeral at the Krause Funeral Home in Brookfield. A private visitation for members of the Milwaukee Police and Fire Departments and military personnel is being Tuesday night. Rittner was fatally shot with a high-powered rifle during a drug and weapons search. Twenty-six-year-old Jordan Fricke is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in Rittner’s death.
