Milwaukee police have arrested a 26-year-old suspect in the fatal shooting of a veteran police officer Wednesday morning. Sources have identified the person taken into custody as Jordan P. Fricke. The 35-year-old officer, Matthew Ritter, was shot when the M-P-D Tactical Enforcement Unit started to search a home shortly after 9:15 A-M. Witnesses say the officer was shot by a high-powered rifle and the shot may have been fired through a door. Ritter had been with the department 17 years, spending 10 as a member of the tactical unit.
