Update 2/7/19 – significant snow and ice expected later this morning through the evening hours. Winter Weather Warning remains in effect until Midnight Thursday
A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect from midnight tonight until midnight Thursday night. Heavy snow is expected with freezing rain possible over north- central, much of central, and northeast Wisconsin. A mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow is expected across the rest of central, northeast, east-central Wisconsin and the lakeshore areas. Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 3 inches possible. Ice accumulations of one-quarter of an inch or more expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph Thursday evening. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commute on Thursday.
