A Manitowoc man was taken into police custody yesterday afternoon after he broke several items in his home following an argument with his girlfriend. Officers responded to the 4000 block of Custer Street at around 4:45 PM on the report of a loud argument being held in the front yard, the second time the police were called to that location for that reason on that day. Responding officers spoke with the woman, who appeared to have been crying. She told officers that she had been arguing with her boyfriend when he began to break items in their home. They then spoke with the 36 year old man, who admitted to causing the damage, so they told him he was under arrest. He began to flee back into the house, so a Taser was used to subdue him. The man is now facing charges of Domestic Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property, Resisting an Officer, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and two counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
