The Manitowoc County Chamber held its 102nd Annual Dinner and Meeting was held at Fox Hills resort & supper Club in Mishicot on Tuesday evening. During the event, over 550 community members in attendance honored and recognized award winners. The night started when Dianne Stewart was presented the 2018 Chamber Champion of the Year.
The 2018 Cooperation Award was presented to Healthiest Manitowoc County for their continuing mission of embracing quality living through actively pursuing a healthy, physical and mental well-being.
The Small Business of the Year Award is to recognize a Manitowoc County Business for its growth, success, innovation, and contribution to the community during 2018. the winner was AllStates Rigging.
Each year the Chamber presents the Joseph P. Schmitt “Speak Up Award”: Established over 25 years ago to honor the late Chamber Executive, this award recognizes an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the quality of life for citizens of Manitowoc County over a period of time. The 2018 winner was John Brunner.
The Large Business/Industry of the Year Award was presented to Bank First.
The Non-Profit Organization of the Year Award is to recognize a Manitowoc County non-profit organization for its dedication to serving the community at large in 2018. This award was presented to The Manitowoc Public Library.
The Young Professional of the Year Award honors a role model in career, community and future impact. Katie Koenig, Hope House of Manitowoc County was the 2018 recipient.
The 2018 Manitowoc County Education Impact Award is given to Amy Cops, of Lakeshore Technical College. Amy’s focus at LTC is to help students earn a General Education Diploma/High School Equivalency Diploma and a post-secondary
credential.
The Safety, Health & Wellness Organization of the Year Award is to recognize a Manitowoc County business or organization for its focus and commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment during 2018. the winner was
Tramontina US Cookware.
The night ended with the presentation of the Athena Award: The purpose of the Athena Award is to recognize an individual for professional achievement and community service, and for actively and generously assisting women in their attainment of professional and leadership skills. Colleen Inman was presented the Athena Award and was over whelmed at the accolade. Colleen added, this was a special evening for her, as many family members were in attendance from as far away as Milwaukee.
