The Brown County District Attorney has concluded that the officer involved in the shooting of 26 year old Johnathan Tubby did not violate any laws. Tubby was shot five times by Officer Erik O’Brien back in October, all while he was unarmed an in handcuffs. DA David Lasee (LAH-SAY) stated that O’Brien behaved properly for a man who “believed Tubby had a weapon.” The autopsy of Tubby determined that he was under the influence of Methamphetamine, methadone, and THC. Tubby’s family has since filed a civil rights lawsuit on their deceased family member’s behalf, and stated that they were disappointed.
