The mother of a baby boy who died two days after he went home from the hospital has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide. The 14-day-old infant died after receiving a high dose of methadone. Investigators say 30-year-old Amanda-Linn Tanski was taking the drug to treat opioid addiction. Doctors have said the child couldn’t have received enough of the drug to cause an overdose through breastfeeding. The child’s father called 9-1-1 December 19th to report the baby was limp and didn’t appear to be breathing.
