The 27-year-old man accused of beating nurse practitioner Carlie Beaudin to death has made his first court appearance. A Milwaukee County judge set the bail for Kenneth Freeman at 500-thousand dollars Saturday. Investigators say Freeman followed Beaudin in a hospital parking garage January 25th, kicking and stomping her about 40 times in the head and neck. Prosecutors say the fatal attack was captured on video surveillance cameras and Freeman has acknowledged being involved. He returns to court Friday.
