The Manitowoc Lincoln Girls Dance Team will be headed to La Crosse today in preparation for the State Dance Competition. We were able to talk with the Coach of the team, Hayley Schaut, as well as the Captains of the squad, Juniors Arianna Centner, and Abbigail Wech, and Seniors Esther Teresinski and Claudine Muchin. Abby spoke about the motivation for the squad.
Claudine told us that all the hard work she and the other seniors have put in for the past four years has really paid off.
According to Esther, the team has really gelled this year, so to her, the success is not a surprise.
As far as the motivational force behind the squad, everyone agreed, that title belongs to Arianna.
Coach Schaut told us about the inspiration behind the routine.
The team will be performing at around 9:00 PM on Saturday, and will be making the trip back on Sunday morning. Best of luck to the Ships Girls Dance Team, and bring home some state gold.
