Seven fishermen were trying to get one more outing in near Sturgeon Bay on Tuesday before the deep freeze hit, but ended up being rescued by the Coast Guard. It’s being reported that the fishermen were stranded in their shanty on the ice due to the drifting snow, and because their UTV would not start. A Coast Guard representative stated that by the time crews arrived on the scene, the temperature was around -4, with a wind chill at around -30. The men were all brought back to shore without sustaining injury.
