
As the Milwaukee Brewers churned toward the 2018 National League Central Division title the experts kept saying the same thing — they didn’t have enough starting pitching. Some young arms are about to change that perception. Right-handed pitchers Corbin Burnes, Freddy Peralta and Brandon Woodruff made a difference for Milwaukee last season. Peralta compiled a 6-4 record in 14 starts. Burnes and Woodruff were effective in relief — and the Brewers hope to get Jimmy Nelson back this season. Team officials say there is another group of young hurlers with plenty of potential currently moving their way up through the minor league system.
