A woman is being praised as a hero after she stopped to help a vehicle who she believed was stuck in the snow storm that struck the state on Monday. The woman was driving in an unspecified area of Ashwaubenon during the storm and saw a vehicle stopped on the side of the road. She stopped to help but quickly realized that the pair in the vehicle were unresponsive, and called 911. The driver, 27-year-old Jessie House of Hobart, was not breathing, so she gave him CPR until emergency services arrived. The passenger, 29-year-old Molly Schlichting of Keshena was unresponsive as well. The duo were both revived and treated, before being booked into the Brown County Jail on drug charges. Ashwaubenon Public Safety Captain Jody Crocker said that “The bystanders are the heroes here, which was probably the difference between a morgue and jail.”
