The cities of Manitowoc and Two Rivers are working in conjunction with Manitowoc County Emergency Management to facilitate overnight shelter for anyone in need of a warm place to stay. Emergency Services Director Travis Waack says the Senior Centers in both cities will remain open overnight tonight—Wednesday and Thursday nights. The Manitowoc Senior Center is located at 3330 Custer Street and the Two Rivers Senior Center is located at 1520 17th Street. Anyone seeking warm shelter is asked to arrive by 10 pm each night. If there is nobody at either facility by 10 pm each night, the doors will be closed and the building will not remain open after 10 pm. After that time instructions on contacting the Manitowoc County Emergency Dispatch Center will be posted on the doors and a police officer will come to assist and help individuals find lodging for the night. If you would like more information contact one of the senior centers at 686-3060 (Manitowoc) or 793-5596 (Two Rivers).
