Plans for a solar farm covering more than five square miles in southwestern Wisconsin are being met with mixed reactions. The Badger Holler Solar Farm will produce 300 megawatts of electricity — enough to power 77-thousand homes. Approval from the Wisconsin Public Service Commission is still pending. Opponents worry the more than one-million solar panels will ruin the rural beauty of that rural area. Badger Hollow should be completed by 2023 and could mean more than one-point-one-million dollars in annual tax revenue for Iowa County.
