Another example of the ‘good’ that’s going on in the Manitowoc-Two Rivers area. The 10th annual Pancake Breakfast & Clothing Drive, sponsored by Americans Serving African Children, was held Yesterday morning at St. Francis of Assisi School. Mike Lambert, who heads the ASAC Group, said donated clothing goes to several African nations and into the communities at large for distribution to the poor.
Lambert also said proceeds from the breakfast are earmarked for one specific purpose.
Mike and his wife, Mary, adopted two boys from Ethiopia and during a 9-day visit to the region “he saw how the people live…observed children living on the streets, and it just touched his heart.”
