That was Dr. Paul Carlson, the President of Lakeshore Technical College making the big announcement that had been teased for weeks. Dr. Carlson went on to explain that one of the main reasons for the move was to make the campus easier to get to.
There were several local dignitaries in attendance for the announcement, including Mayor Justin Nickels, who continued to talk about the importance of the downtown area of Manitowoc.
The new location will be up and running for the Fall Semester.
