An alert Wisconsin pharmacist has helped authorities catch an Illinois man for conspiring to fill fake prescriptions. The call from Meijer Pharmacy got investigators with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office involved. A woman had called the business saying she was a doctor in Milwaukee and wanted to fill a prescription which wasn’t on record at the location. When Jermaine Marshall of Chicago showed up to claim the codeine cough syrup he was arrested. He is scheduled to return to court next month to face a charge of conspiracy to commit fraud by obtaining a controlled substance.
