Wisconsin’s new Governor, Tony Evers addressed the State Legislature with his State of the State address Tuesday evening, with a lot of positive feedback. Representative Terry Katsma of Oostburg praised Evers’ willingness to work with both Democrats as well as Republicans saying, “I look forward to working with Governor Evers on issues that will have bipartisan support, while also maintaining the progress Wisconsin has made under Republican leadership.” Manitowoc native Rep. Paul Tittl was also encouraged by the Governor’s remarks on expanding mental health services in schools, a topic which he said “…has been and will continue to be my passion and primary legislative focus, and it is a challenge that crosses partisan divides.”
