State Representative Paul Tittl of Manitowoc, along with many other Assembly members have passed the Pre-Existing Condition Guaranteed Coverage act, which Senator Andre Jacque of De Pere authored. The effort received bi-partisan support, passing by a vote of 76-19. Jacque was happy with the result saying, “This bill is about protecting people’s access to coverage regardless of whatever medical challenges they may have already faced. This is an opportunity for us to come together, take a deep breath, and like a number of things in health care, work together across the aisle the way our constituents expect without sacrificing principles” Tittl was also very happy with the efforts of “both sides of the aisle” who helped ensure that “everyone in Wisconsin has reasonable protections and access to quality healthcare.”
