Continuing their support for the arts, Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is currently hosting an exhibit of sculptural works by Valaria Tatera entitled “Unlearned Silence.” Tatera is a visual artist whose work investigates the intersection of ethnicity, gender, commerce and the environment. Tatera explores self-identity and contemporary indigenous issues such as the environment, sovereignty and the co-opting of imagery. The exhibit will be on display through February 15th in the Donald P. Taylor Gallery inside the Main Hall. The Gallery is open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
