Approximately 15 to 20 people held a “Peaceful Protest” outside the Manitowoc County Courthouse against James Nettles. The Manitowoc man is accused of starving a dog to death last month with a second canine on the brink of starvation at his residence.
Cole Benthein from Two Rivers organized the protest through Facebook.
Susie Stolzman of Manitowoc braved the cold temperatures to show her support.
Benthein adds—
If convicted Nettles faces up to three-and-a-half years in prison and up to a $10 thousand fine.
