Appleton Man Arrested After Assaulting a Woman

An unnamed 30 year old Appleton man is in Police custody after he allegedly assaulted a woman yesterday afternoon. The Appleton Police Department was informed of the incident, which reportedly occurred in the 300 block of East Wisconsin Ave, at around 3:30 PM. They were told that the man may have been armed with a handgun, and had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Officers were preparing to confront the subject, when he exited the home unarmed at turned himself over. The victim did not require any medical attention for her injuries. No word as of now as to what charges the man will be facing.
