
The Manitowoc Lincoln boys basketball team got into an early hole last night in its’ FRCC game at Notre Dame Academy and never recovered in falling to the Tritons in Green Bay 71-53. The Ships (2-10, 0-8 in the league) trailed 32-24 at halftime and came within 7 in the 2nd half, before coming up short. Sophomore Mason Dopirak tied a season-high with 34-points, including a perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line. Teammate Josh Hoffman added 14 but only 2-other players scored in the game for Lincoln, which shot only 30-percent & committed 23-turnovers. Notre Dame sophomore George Kress, the stepson of former Packers Coach Mike McCarthy, poured-in a career-high 30-points Jack Schumer added 20 for the Tritons, who improve to 2-11 overall, 1-8 in conference.
