17 Year Old Shiocton Girl Dies in Crash Blamed on Icy Roads

Slippery roads are believed to have been the cause of a single vehicle crash in Outagamie County yesterday morning. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Area of Thede Road south of Newland Road in the Town of Bovina when it was reported that a vehicle had struck a tree at around 8:00 AM. The 17 year old female driver from Shiocton was the only individual in the vehicle as she lost control of her car, slamming into a tree. The girl died at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing, but it is believed that she lost control due to the icy conditions on the roadway. Her name is not being released at this time.
