The variety classic rock-n-roll band, Out*A*Time, has played its’ last set as a group, save for a possible reunion performance down the road. Paul ‘Biff’ Hansen was an original member of the popular band that started in 1987. He spoke with Seehafer News about the decision to end operations.
Out*a*time grew out of a show called Bobby Socks and ‘50’s Rock in 1986. Their first gig as a band was at the former Malcom’s on the corner of North 9th & Chicago Street. Favorite memories include being able to play with some excellent musicians from Manitowoc, Sheboygan and Green Bay. Hansen’s wife Sheila also sang with the band and sax player Kevin Van Ess plays at Mardi Gras a couple days out of the year. Van Ess also has his own Dixieland band. The band was also able to open for Marie Osmond at the Capitol Civic Centre.
Their final show was December 21st at Stone Harbor in Sturgeon Bay.
Hansen says he hopes their music made people smile & get up and dance a little bit and that they had fun listening to them.
