A Chippewa County Circuit Court judge gave a man once accused of murder 20 years in prison at his Thursday sentencing. Jesse Ray Lloyd was acquitted of the murder charges, but found guilty of armed robbery and being a felon with a gun. Another man, Matthew Labrec, was found guilty of killing Kenneth Patterson in the 2016 incident. The defense attorney had argued Lloyd’s prison term should be shorter than Labrec’s. Prosecutors said he needed to be held accountable.
