The 1st State Senate District officially has a new man at the helm. State Senator Andre Jacque was officially sworn into the position on Monday, and has been assigned to serve as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Workforce Development, Local Government, Small Business and Tourism, as well as the Senate Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Information Policy and Technology and Vice Chair of the Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Committee. The De Pere native will also serve as a member of the Senate committees on Health and Human Services; Agriculture, Revenue & Financial Institutions; and the Joint Legislative Council. Jacque said in a statement, “While I look forward to working on issues across the policy spectrum, I could not be more pleased with my committee assignments.”
