
Oostburg resident, Terry Katsma has officially begun his third term serving Sheboygan County as the 26th Assembly District Representative. The term officially began yesterday after he took the oath of office in the Assembly Chambers of the State Capitol. Rep. Katsma Thanked the people of Sheboygan County, and said, that the future of the state has never looked brighter. His statement read, “Our economy is the strongest it has been in decades. Our people’s tax burden—the share of their income that they pay in state and local taxes—is the lowest it’s been in nearly 50 years. Our government is entering 2019 with a budget surplus and a healthy rainy day fund. We have been moving steadily in the right direction, and I am eager to keep building on these successes in the upcoming session.” Rep. Katsma was first elected to the State Assembly in 2014.
