A Madison woman will serve three years in prison for fatally injuring a pedestrian in January 2017. Nicole Bruns pleaded no contest last October to a charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Twenty-one-year-old Alexandra Ihm died of a pulmonary embolism three months after the accident. Bruns’ blood alcohol content level was nearly twice the legal limit when she was arrested after driving away from the accident scene.
