
Three current members of the Manitowoc City Council will have opposition in the April 2019 election. According to information from Deputy City Clerk Mackenzie Reed-Kadow, incumbent Aldermen Scott McMeans in District-2, Jeremiah Novak in District 3 & Rhienna Gabriel in the 10th District all filed their nomination papers at City Hall ahead of yesterday’s 5-pm deadline. McMeans is being challenged in the spring election by Rick Zunker, Novak is opposed by former Alderman Christopher Able and Gabriel has a challenge from Bruce Jacobs. A 4th alderman seeking re-election, first district Councilmember Mike Howe, also filed prior to the deadline but is running unopposed.
