A Madison police officer was taking a stolen car report Tuesday morning when the victim’s vehicle was seen driving past them on the street. Police say the 28-year-old driver was clearly intoxicated when they pulled him over. The suspect had taken the wrong vehicle. He said he was at a friend’s place when he decided to buy some bagels — so the friend told him to take his car. The car owner didn’t want to file charges, so the driver was only charged with O-W-I.
