For the second time in as many weeks, a rescue had to be performed on the Bay of Green Bay early yesterday morning. . According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, two Illinois men had to be assisted, after they found themselves stranded on a chunk of ice in the Bay of Green Bay at around 1:30 AM. The men say they were ice fishing about 300 yards off of Volk’s Landing when the ice broke, and drifted another mile from that location before they were rescued. No injuries were sustained in the incident.
