Janesville police say they encountered a man with a steak knife sticking out of his face when they responded to a call early Thursday morning. Police say the victim was leaning over a sink with only the handle of the knife visible. Forty-six-year-old Maria Johnson and the man both said she was responsible, but both called it an accident. The man’s name hasn’t been released. Johnson faces a tentative charge of reckless injury-domestic violence.
